Couple of Google Chrome Tricks to play with Tabs

September 11th, 2008 xubair Posted in Google Chrome Tips and Tricks 1 Comment »

These tricks are for those who love keyboards and find it hard to use mouse =P

1 - Opening the Last Tabs
Closed some tab by mistake ? no problem ! Chrome will open it up with a keyboard shortcut  CTRL+SHIFT+T. Yeah, Google Chrome remembers the last 10 tabs you close so just use this shortcut and chrome will open up tabs you just closed.
The latest tab would open up first and the oldest (10th) tab could be opened by using this shortcut ten times.

2 - Opening some Particular Tab
How do you switch between chrome tabs ? by using mouse ? Yeah almost every users does that for going straigh to a particular tab or if you use firefox you might be using that CTRL+TAB shortcut which lets you switch between the tabs in a sequential order.
But chrome got something really cool, you can jump directly to a particular tab by using:
CTRL+1 to CTRL+9 (where CTRL+1 would be for the first tab and CTRL+9 for the 9th tab).

Thats it for now, keep coming back to learn more about Chrome !
