Subscribe to the BlogGoogle Chrome is an open source web browser by Google.
Its beta is scheduled to be released tomorrow (September 2, 2008).
They have announced it by the means of a comic book which can be seen here. This comic was drawn by Scott McCloud.
They have said that today most of what we use on web are not just web pages, they are applications and for them we need to start it from scratch.
For now I'll tell you only two highlights of the browser which are:
Design which will have tabs on top of the browser instead of below the address bar.
Super Tabs - Google chrome will give each tab its own process so if one tab got stuck, the entire browswer wont crash. This super tabs thing would also speed up the overall performance.
Well, it is a damn good logo!!!
Actaully from the todays perspective it looks nicer than the ‘original’ Windows one. It is more morderm, and stronger 3D-ish.
